Posting Rules

Threading: Outside of walkie-talkie posts, all threading is prose log style. Walkie talkie posts are voice only, and may be formatted as action tags, plain text tags, or action with background noise. Anything over a PG-13 rating requires warnings and a cut tag.

Formatting: Log posts should begin with the following. Walkie-talkie posts may omit some or all of these fields, if there is no content that requires a warning.
Warnings: Provide a brief summary of the reasons why any [warning] tags are attached to the entry. For example, a log in which a character is bitten by a dirachnid may have the following warnings: "General - this entry contains spiders"; "NSFW - this entry contains strong language"; "Squick - this entry contains detailed descriptions of an allergic reaction"; "Trigger - this entry contains oxygen deprivation."
Who: Include the character(s) participating and whether the log is open, closed, or semi-closed (an example of the last type is two characters having a personal conversation in an open space - others can tag in with their characters overhearing things, but not interrupting).
What: If the post is long enough to require a cut, then include a brief description of its contents there. Otherwise, feel free to omit this field.
When: Include the date and the general time of day when the log takes place.
Where: Be as specific as possible.
BAD: In a stairwell in the Teratoma
GOOD: On the 4th floor landing of the Teratoma's outer stairwell
BAD: Somewhere on Spring Street
GOOD: On the 3200 block of E. Spring Street
BEST: In front of 3201 E. Spring Street

Smut: Smut of all forms is allowed in the game. However, all smut must be friendslocked, with appropriate disclaimers and the "[warning]: nsfw" tag attached. Also, please keep in mind the setting: horrible things are everywhere, privacy is at a minimum, birth control is not available, and it's not easy to find time for intimacy. Any smut that occurs should make sense with these considerations taken into account.

Violence: The rules for this are slightly more lenient than they are for smut. While it should be kept behind a cut and properly labeled, violence does not need to be friendslocked unless there are graphic descriptions of injuries involved.
